 CAM

Clean Air Module

In the clean room module CAM, in addition to air filtration, ionization is generated via DC voltage and evenly distributed over the air volume flow. The DC voltage simultaneously affects positive and negative ions in high density via separate electrodes, so that a rapid electrostatic discharge of surfaces is ensured.

Description

Cleanroom modules CAM, include a two-stage filter system and operate according to the
laminar flow principle, whereby the filtered air can flow either horizontally or vertically.
flow. The fan unit draws the air through the pre-filters into a fan chamber
and conveys it under pressure further through the main filter. Due to the relatively high
resistance of the filter medium of approximately 130 to 150 Pascal, the air is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the filter and pressed through the filter medium.

The filters of the first stage are replaceable without tools and are

covered from above by a perforated plate.

The pre-filters filter the ambient air to an average collection efficiency of approximately 90 %.

The main filters are a high-performance HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter with a dust collection efficiency of over 99.9 %.

After the HEPA filter are the high-voltage electrodes for electrostatic neutralization of the air stream. These electrodes must always be placed last

so that the air stream exiting the HEPA filter flows around the electrodes and thus

transports the positive and negative ions into the room.

On the side of the clean room modules is the lighting to illuminate the work area.

A light grid closes off the clean room modules at the bottom and thus prevents any unauthorized access to the high-voltage electrodes or the HEPA filter.

The control system and the high-voltage supply are installed in the upper part of the cleanroom modules.

Use and operation

The air volume flow with upstream filter system builds up overpressure in an enclosed space.

An effective range is achieved in the entire area, particles are reduced to clean room quality by the filter system.

The system solution can be equipped or upgraded with a ionization of the air volume flow for the entire cleanroom area.

Ionization is generated via DC voltage and affects simultaneous positive and negative ions in high density via separate electrodes, ensuring rapid electrostatic discharge of surfaces.

Procedure against static charge

When work is in full swing in a cleanroom, exposed surfaces, including floors and walls, become statically charged. As a result, they actively attract dust and other particles that adhere to the surfaces and cannot be removed by the airflow. This compromises the initial sterility of the room and can cause damage to the process:

- increased risk of damage to electronic mechanisms and circuits
- increased risk of explosions and electric shocks
- possibility of contamination of the final product and, as a consequence, a strong deterioration of its performance characteristics

You are not affected by this with our products! In addition to the antistatic components we use, the air flow of our modules is ionized and saves your project from possible difficulties

Contact protection

The CAM clean room modules are closed off with a protective grid. This grid serves as a contact protection to prevent contact with the electrodes of the high voltage.
The contact protection consists of a protective grid that is permanently installed in the construction and is made of a non-conductive plastic.
and is made of a non-conductive plastic (contact protection in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Employer's Liability Insurance Association).
The protective grid can be removed for changing the discharge bars.
